Over the year I collect a lot of books from a lot of different places, including house clearances, donations, charity shops and remaindered books from all over. Sometimes I get... well, frankly, some insane things turning up. These books tend to sit on the shelves, wanting to live out their destiny, but just unable to go into my usual boxes for fear of alarming the recipient. So this January, as my winter "sale", I'm giving you the opportunity to receive something which really can only be described as unhinged. Fun for all the family*!
*in fact, in many cases, absolutely not appropriate for all the family.
The boxes are priced at £10, which includes P&P, and will contain one mystery book, mostly vintage, and probably about something extremely rogue ("An Introduction to the Law of Leases", anyone? No? what about "Urn Burial Tracts Etc"? What is the Etc??). It will also contain a giant bag of crisps and some warming teas to keep you cosy on the long winter nights whilst reading abut 18th Century angling.
When you get your box, pop on to Instagram, tag me in a post or story (@sustainablebookclubuk) and whoever can convince me that they have received the most unhinged book will get a £10 gift voucher to be used against something a bit more normal in the future**.
This is a fixed contents box so I'm afraid I can't offer any specific requests. Please note that some of these books are super bizarre, and I can't be held responsible for any content.

- The winner will in fact be picked by a randomiser, but if you have a really good caption or story then you'll get two entries!

We are very confident that you or your recipient will be delighted with their box. We are unable to accept returns but, if for any reason you aren't happy with your gift, then please drop us a line at hello@sustainablebookclub.co.uk and we'll see what we can do to help.
Postage and packing is included in the price of your box. We ship via 2nd Class Royal Mail, and will do our best to send your box out on the same or next working day. 2nd Class Royal Mail shipping times are meant to be 3-5 working days, but... well, who are we to judge the inner workings of the UK postal service. Please rest assured that we retain the tracking info for all items sent out, so if there's a delay or a problem get in touch with us at hello@sustainablebookclub.co.uk and we'll look into it for you.
