The Original Sustainable Book Box

The books we use are pre-loved and, as a result, some of them can vary in terms of condition. We clean the books we use and only send them out if we deem them to be acceptable to receive. Please note that some of the books may show signs of age (don’t we all), and there is the possibility of some slight foxing or, if you’re really lucky, perhaps some annotations or gift messages in them from their past owners. We think this is part of the joy of second-hand books, but if you are very particular about this then do drop me a note in the box and we’ll make sure to find you something more... shall we say, youthful.

We are very confident that you or your recipient will be delighted with their box. We are unable to accept returns but, if for any reason you aren't happy with your gift, then please drop us a line at hello@sustainablebookclub.co.uk and we'll see what we can do to help. 

Postage and packing is included in the price of your box. We ship via 2nd Class Royal Mail, and will do our best to send your box out on the same or next working day. 2nd Class Royal Mail shipping times are meant to be 3-5 working days, but... well, who are we to judge the inner workings of the UK postal service. Please rest assured that we retain the tracking info for all items sent out, so if there's a delay or a problem get in touch with us at hello@sustainablebookclub.co.uk and we'll look into it for you. 

Our books come from all sorts of places, from all sorts of times. In some cases there is a chance that there may be language or imagery used that doesn't quite match up to today's standards. They can also cover a lot of different topics and issues. If there is anything at all that you would like to avoid, whatever it is and for whatever reason, please let us know in the 'Any requests?' box and we will endeavour to make sure that nothing triggering is sent out. On the other hand, if you really love, I don't know, the colour blue, or stories about frogs, or glassware, then you can also add that into the requests box and we'll see what we can do!*
