For the price of a gingerbread latte* you can make your box so festive that it won’t know what’s hit it. You’ll get the same Vintage Edition Box that you know and love but…
- your vintage book will be giftwrapped in delightfully Christmassy - and, of course, recycled and recyclable - wrappings
- your bookmark will feature some sort of festive quip in a seasonally appropriate colour scheme
- your six hot drinks might include lovely spiced herbal tissanes, Gingerbread Chai from Bird & Blend or Clipper hot chocolate for cosy nights tucked up in blankets.
- your three snacks will be… you guessed it… festive! Think deluxe crisps, chocolate orange, dried fruits, nuts or sugar plums! (There won’t actually be sugar plums I’m afraid. I absolutely do not have the time to start crystallising plums.) You’ll also get a little handful of the most festive of items… chocolate coins.

*maybe; I actually don’t know how much those cost. I personally would balk at spending £5 on what is essentially a cup of sugar, but what do I know.
The Christmas Vintage Edition
The books we use are pre-loved and, as a result, some of them can vary in terms of condition. We clean the books we use and only send them out if we deem them to be acceptable to receive. Please note that some of the books may show signs of age (don’t we all), and there is the possibility of some slight foxing or, if you’re really lucky, perhaps some annotations or gift messages in them from their past owners. We think this is part of the joy of second-hand books, but if you are very particular about this then do drop me a note in the box and we’ll make sure to find you something more... shall we say, youthful.
